keep believing

Sometimes things aren't the way
You hope they would be...
That's when you have
To tell yourself that
Things will get better.
It may not be easy,
But take each step
forward as challenge...
Learn from your difficult times...
Grow in courage
and in strength
Keep believing in yourself..
Stay focus on all you
want your life to be
Challenges are part of
life's journey that will only
bring you closer to
what you dream to be... =)

About CADD...

Assalaamu’alaikum! And hi to everybody! Hopefully everyone is fine today ;)

Hmmm I don’t know how to start actually… CADD… what it is all about? As I understand, CADD is a part of Bioinformatics… Ops, sorry, I forgot, before that, CADD stand for Computer Aided Drug Design… I guess you’ve already known about this… Isn’t it? Ha… that’s good!

Let’s start from the first lesson…

In the first class I was taught by lecturer to find sequence for Lon and clpP.. Firstly, everybody have to go to the MEROPS website… can use Google search. When the “MEROPS the peptidase database” appeared, then, click ‘searches’. Then everybody in the class was asked to click Search for a Peptidase or Inhibitor by name. There is box, peptidase/Inhibitor name… so we can specify the name by filling the box for example in the lesson we have to find Lon and clpP. So just type that word in the box.. For Lon, we need to choose( as asked by our beloved lecturer… hehe) S16.001 which was Lon-A peptidase. Then click on “S16.001”. Then “Summary for peptidase S16.001: Lon-A peptidase” page will appear. After that, click ‘sequences’ box located just below the word “Summary for peptidase S16.001: Lon-A peptidase”.. That moment, we had to wait for quite long…huhu (maybe internet connection not very good that moment)....

hmm, ok, here i summarize about the lessons... next class i learned about clustalX, and artemis...where the sequence of the protein is clustered.. and then after that, i learned about raswin software to view protien in 3 D picture...=)
